by MarkJ Guillen CEO
Amazon is all set to hire a massive workforce of 6,000 employees in the coming times.

Amazon Inc is the reigning monarch of online shopping in America. The company is miles ahead of its competitors that include Wal-Mart and eBay in the domestic markets. The online retailer has done wonders in the international markets as well with its expanded reach in large economies of the world.

The online giant has done it all, from expanding across the globe to entering into new business categories, just to compete with its peers in the market. The likes of Wal-Mart and eBay are finding it hard to take on ‘Amazon’s Prime’ version.

The recent news is that the company wants to increase its work force. According to sources, Amazon will be hiring more than 6,000 employees in more than 50 branches that it operates in the United States, which also include Breinigsville warehouse. The massive 6,000 work force will be working in warehouses that would be required to fulfill customers’ orders by picking, packing, and shipping their desired products. Now, the corporate giant currently owns a work force of 50,000 employees that are working full-time at their centers.

It is believed that the company is focused on opening as many distribution centers as it can within United States in order to speed up its delivery program. Amazon Prime is famous for the free two-day delivery program on millions of items available on its online website. The subscription fee costs $99 to a customer that has numerous advantages.

By the end of last year, the company had a workforce of 154,100 employees that were working as either full-time employees or part-time employees in various distribution centers.

The company is working simultaneously for its Prime program. It is focused on expanding its offerings of items that will result in membership growth as well as with services such as “grocery delivery, one-hour delivery in some cities, beefed-up video streaming and the creation of a Bluetooth speaker called the Echo that syncs with Prime music”, according to sources.

The operations manager at Amazon, Jason Muller, stated, “Right now, we just have a pretty big hole to fill from an operations standpoint.” Mr. Muller did not reveal his plans regarding the number of openings. However, it is believed that the pay will start at $12.50 an hour. According to ABC News, Amazon will be hiring in the cities, including Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, etc.

Amazon is constantly expanding its services and wants to give the best service to its customers.
