Amazon India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2016 - Trends to look out for

Indian dresses fashion was reinvented with the talented couturiers showcasing their designs at the grand event of Amazon Indian  Fashion Week, Spring Summer 2016. Like every year, expectations were high and the designers lived up to them quite graciously. Many new styles were invented on the ramps. These included street styles, Boho-chic styles and fashionable party wear collections. The event was marked by the grandeur of Indian dresses fashion that has evolved over the period of time. Fashion designers like Anju Modi, Anamika Khanna, Sanjay Garg, Nida Mahmood, etc. exhibited their unique creations at this gala event.

This year, a lot of fashion designers focussed on redefining the beauty of Indian sarees in its chic avatar. There were interesting trends recreated for the fashionistas. Indian women dresses were the highlight of the fashion week that was concluded recently.

This year, Anamika Khanna introduced her first Ready-to-wear line giving a new high to the India sportswear category. She had very interesting designs in crop tops, white kurta, trousers with capes, flared pants, etc. with minimal hand work of patch work and Lucknowi chikankari. 

This year, the grand finale of Amazon India Fashion Week had around 16 designers weaving their collections around the classic Banarasi work. This included the designers like Sabyasachi, JJ Valaya, Rohit Gandhi, Tarun Tahiliani, etc. Many versatile and wearable styles in sarees and other Indian women dresses were created out of the rich Banarasi fabrics by these talented fashion designers.

Indian dresses fashion again featured with a lot of sheer showcased at Amazon Indian Fashion week, Summer Spring 2016. Many designers worked upon the sheer fabrics in jackets, tops, tunics, capes, lehengas, etc. This trend is intended for the fashion savvy young brigade that is ready to experiment a bit.

Whether it was the collection from Anavila Mishra spelling traditional or the sassy resort wear line from Sivan and Naresh featuring with bikini saris, there were lot of styles to explore in Indian women dresses at this AIFW 2016. Indigo hues, block printing, laces, vibrant prints, boxy blouses, et al adorned the style of saris during this 5-days long event.
