Salar De Uyuni

Salar De Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world that measures up to 10, 582 sq. kilometers. This salt flat is located along with the province of Daniel Campos, south-west of Bolivia. It was formed as a result of a great shift between several historic lakes. Today the salt flat stands at an elevation of 3656 m and has a remarkable flatness with an average elevation of 1 meter across the entire region.  Salar De Uyuni consists of about 70% of the world's lithium reserves and with its remarkable features, it has become the world’s largest mirror. It got its name from the Aymara Language and today it is home to fresh and saltwater lakes and a gateway for tourists to visit Salar.

Isla Del Sol

Isla Del Sol is an island that lies in the south of Lake Titicaca. This island is characterized by a rough topography, hilly terrain lined up with eucalyptus trees over the entire region. This region cannot be accessed by motor vehicles since there are no paved roads. Isla Del Sol is home to over 80 ruins most of which dates back from the 15th century- the Inca period. The earliest human civilization around this area was recorded to be from the third millennium BC and is believed to be the birthplace of the sun god. Some of the attractions here include Titi Qala, the mountain ct stone, Chinkana, Pillkukayna, Q’asa Pata, the Qala stone, etc.

Madidi National Park

Madidi National Park lies at the Amazon River basin, Bolivia and it stretches for more than 18,900 sq. km.  This national park was established in 1995 and is one of the world’s largest protected areas that include- the Manu Biosphere Reserve, Apolobamba and areas of Manuripi-Heath. This region covers everything ranging from snowcapped glaciers along the Andes Mountains, tropical evergreen forests, Tuichi River, the Bolivian Yungas, dry montane forests making it one of the most biologically diverse regions in the world.  The indigenous tribes of Tacanan, Tsimane, Moseten, Toromona can be found around this region.
