Almonds, Great Allies of The Heart

Although all nuts have qualities that may benefit cardiovascular health, a new study has found that almonds are especially great allies of the heart if included in your regular diet.

In healthy young men and young men but with cardiovascular risk factors such as having high blood pressure or excess body weight, evaluated the effect of a diet enriched with 50 grams of almonds every day and is compared with a control group who did not the dried fruit.

After a month of a diet enriched with almond blood parameters in each group were evaluated and it was found that those who ate 50 grams of almonds daily had lower blood pressure, higher levels of antioxidants in the blood as well as a better blood flow, customized fat loss program review which protects and benefits to the heart.

It is believed that the presence in the almonds of vitamin E, healthy fats, fiber and flavonoids is the reason why, even during a short time, its intake can produce valuable changes that promote cardiovascular health.

Therefore a handful of 50 grams of almonds daily may help prevent heart disease. And while this amount of nuts can add some 290 Kcal each day, we can use them in lieu of other fatty bodies, to replace a snack, a cereal for breakfast either in our salad oil and thus, to enjoy its benefits without adding too much power.

This study which concludes that even in a short period of time the almonds prove to be great allies of the heart certainly confirms that if we follow a Mediterranean diet combined with dried fruit is the perfect strategy for cardiovascular health.
