With the Women’s FIFA World Cup well and truly underway, fans have been gathering from all over the world to witness the tournament in Canada. The final is due to take place on July 5th 2015, at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver.

Canada 2015 is the largest women’s single sport competition held to date, and for the first time in its history, the tournament is using goal-line technology with the recently established Hawk-Eye system goal-line technology.

The World Cup tournament has taken place in two of Canada’s most famous cities, Vancouver and Montreal, as well as other lesser-known Canadian cities such as Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawata & Moncton.

52 matches in total are being played out across these cities during the tournament. Being cut down from 128 countries from the preliminary rounds, the fans travelling to each city are witnessing 24 of the best women’s football teams in the world.

Canada, with its glaciers and mountains, and its secluded lakes and forests, is full of natural beauty. But the cosmopolitan cities that are hosting World Cup games are also very appealing. Often labelled as one of the world’s most liveable countries, the cities are preowned as being clean, friendly, safe and multicultural.

It’s a no brainer as to why Vancouver has been chosen to host the final. Hosting the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the city is all about its sports. Offering lots of cultural attractions, visitors to the city are sure to be kept busy. With a capacity of just under 55,000 the BC Place stadium up until 2010 had the world’s largest air-supported dome as a roof, before being renovated to the world’s largest retractable roof.

Montreal is another great city. A modern city with all conveniences, but also with a taste of history, where tourists can learn about Canada’s rich French heritage. With a capacity of over 60,000, the Olympic Stadium is where the games are played.

Ottawata, hosting many of the tournaments games, stands out as the most affordable city in the whole of North America. Toronto, known as the most expensive Canadian city, is number 82 out of 100 for the most expensive cities on the continent, according to CBC News.

If you would like to travel to this summer’s Womens World Cup you could fly to Canada in unsurpassed luxury – by hiring your own private jet. Passengers travelling by private jet can be escorted immediately through the airport to the aircraft, with passports being checked before boarding, rather than having to queue for security and passport control.
