All You Need to Know About the Egg Donation Process

The egg donation process plays a key role in helping those couples, especially women, who cannot conceive while using their own eggs. The reason for the same could be many- low egg count or quality or any other unexplained infertility issues thereby.

Who is an egg donor?

An egg donor could be any woman who is willing to help a couple in their conception process by donating her eggs. Moreover, the whole process must be undertaken by a trained and knowledgeable fertility expert at the IVF clinic in India who is carrying some good experience in assisted reproductive techniques.

The process of egg donation

The process kick starts with the fertility doctor at the infertility clinic in Mumbai firstly analyzing the health and medical situation of the egg donor in Mumbai before letting her on board during IVF treatment. Moreover, the intended mother also gets screened for any sort of health issues and her menstrual cycle would then be coordinated with that of egg donor in order to make them prepare for the embryo transfer.

Who can become an egg donor?

• The women must fall within the age group of 21-35.

• The Egg donor must also be carrying the  right height and weight

• The women must not be carrying an addiction to any kind of drugs or alcohol

• The women must be carrying a sound physical and mental health and further be ready to present all her medical history in front of the IVF clinic that mentions her general health, gynecological history, and past  surgery

• The candidate must also be willing to undergo a detailed gynecological examination.

• The candidate must also be ready to go through a detailed list of tests and diagnoses that are required to ascertain her medical, mental, sexual and genetic conditions alongside.
