As the name suggests, two different types of liquids are used to perform dry cleaning in this method. In most cases, aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons are used to form a solvent mixture.

Apart from the liquid solvents mentioned above, other chemicals are used for dry cleaning. It includes liquid CO2, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and others.

Furthermore, DIY dry cleaning kits are also sold by many retailers. Although, some textile experts affirm that these kits can damage the fabric or tear clothes.
