Fantastic Four is a famous superhero movie series of Hollywood based on Marvel comics. It is directed by Josh Trank, Tim Story, and Oley Sassone. It is a story of four fantastic superheroes and how they use their superpowers for noble causes and their contribution towards mankind. The four main characters of this film series are Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards, Jessica Alba as Susan Storm, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm.

According to Reed’s research, the evolution on Earth took place because of the clouds full of cosmic energy in the Space. With the permission of Dr. Victor Doom, Reed goes to space in a private Space Station along with Susan, Johnny, and Ben to test the exposure to the cloud on humans. Reed miscalculated the time of the cloud, and it came early. With the result, they all had to rescue from that place, but the exposure was so disastrous that it affected all of them.

Ben was more affected as compared to others. They returned home with a failed experiment, but soon after returning home, all of them were experiencing some strange power. Reed could stretch his body parts like rubber. Ben became a large rock-type creature. Susan could become invisible according to the situation and could also create force shields. Johnny could become a human torch and a man of fire.

However, some of the Fantastic Four movies were canceled, even after gaining considerable fame. Here we will discuss every Fantastic Four movie that was canceled.

Peyton Reed’s Fantastic Four

Peyton Reed is a famous director of Hollywood movies. He has directed many famous films. One of the best movies directed by Peyton is Ant-Man. Peyton wanted to make Fantastic Four, and after working on this movie for almost one year, he decided to leave the movie in between. According to the statement of Peyton, It had become difficult for him to work in an environment where he was not allowed to make the movie according to his ideas. It was the primary reason responsible for the cancelation of this film.

Fox’s Marvel Movie Crossover

Fox wanted to continue with the Fantastic Four series but had to cancel it in the end because of the film, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This film did not gross much even after being a high budget film. The earnings of the film, Rise of the Surfer, were less than its budget. Fox Studios included a few co-writers of the X-Men and the initial story writer of the next Fantastic Four. These writers were included to write a crossover featuring all the characters of Marvel, which were owned by the Fox Studio at that time.

Fox Studio wanted to write a crossover, including the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil. After the success of the film, X-Men: First Class, Fox started to focus on the film, X-Men: Days of Future Past instead of concentrating on the Fantastic Four reboot, which in turn became another reason for the cancelation of the Fantastic Four movie.

Silver Surfer Spinoff

Fox wanted to release a movie on Silver Surfer before the release of the first Fantastic Four, which was released in 2005. It was a blockbuster movie and gained huge fame from the first day of its release. It was directed by Tim Story and remained on the big screens for quite a long time due to which Fox had to postpone their plans until the release of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which was released in 2007. This was another reason for the cancelations of Fox’s Plans.

Noah Hawley’s Doctor Doom

Doctor Victor Von Doom is a popular character shown in all the Fantastic Four movies. Noah Hawley decided to write and make a movie on Doctor Doom and discussed his plans with the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. At that time, Marvel confirmed Noah to be working on another Fantastic Four movie. Listening to this, Noah had to cancel his plans for writing a movie on Fantastic Four reboot because it would be of no use.

Fant4stic 2

Fox Studio wanted to make a sequel of the film, Fant4stic, which was directed by Josh Trank. But looking at the reviews of this film, Fox had to cancel the plans of making a sequel to this film. However, some of the team members of the film Fant4stic confirmed that a sequel to this film is open for making in the upcoming years. It resulted in the cancelation of the film, Fant4stic 2.
