All India Pre
Veterinary Test is conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for admission
to first year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry that is
B.V.Sc & A.H course. The veterinary entrance exam is held for admission to
15% of the total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India except for
Jammu and Kashmir for Indian Nationals. The participating states in All India
Pre Veterinary Test are Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur and Rajasthan.
All India Pre
Veterinary Test is a pen paper based test that was conducted in May 14, 2016 for
B.V.Sc & A.H degree course in 5 years. The course also includes a
compulsory rotating internship of six months. This year Madhya Pradesh,
Rajasthan, Manipur and Haryana would be filling up all their seats based on
AIPVT. The score of All India Pre Veterinary Test will be used for admission into
Veterinary Colleges across India.
Eligibility
All the Indian Nationals can apply for pre veterinary test except for the Jammu
and Kashmir candidates, they can apply. The J & K candidates can apply if they
submit an affidavit in the proforma which is duly attested by Metropolitan
Magistrate/ First Class Judicial Magistrate stating that the candidate is not
domicile of J&K and is not eligible to compete for Bachelor in Veterinary Science
and Animal Husbandry seats in the state of J&K and are not qualified to
seek admission in Veterinary Colleges of J&K. The candidates must have
attained the age of age of 17 years in order to apply for the pre veterinary
test. The upper age limit is 25 and for SC/ST there is a relaxation of 5 years.
It is very interesting to note that a candidate can appear in the All India pre
veterinary test any number of times. There is no limit to appear in this test.
AIPVT Result: The
All
India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) Result
will be declared in the month of June. The result will be released by
Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Candidates will get their result through an
SMS or through an Email. The result will not be send by post so students are required
to download the result online through the official website and preserve it for
the counselling round and till the admission process is over.
Once the result has
been declared by VCI there will be no scope for rechecking the result because
the answer sheets will be evaluated with the help of Optical Mark Reader with
proper supervision. Although no rechecking will be allowed but the grading can
be challenged if the candidates finds any kind of discrepancy in the OMR sheet.
The challenge of the answer keys can be sent to any number of questions at the
rate of Rs 1000 per questions and if the student’s answer is corrected then the
money will be refunded.
