All About XAT Exam 2020

If you are planning to appear for XAT 2020 it is time to pull on your socks and get gear up for the preparations. Being the second most important MBA (PGDM) entrance exam in the country, a good XAT score is important for getting a call from top B Schools.

XAT is conducted every year by XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI. For more than 60 years XLRI is conducting XAT at all India level to select students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for the admission. Top Business Schools in country accepting XAT Score are XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT Ghaziabad, FORE School of Management, XIMB, Xavier University Bhubaneswar, LIBA, TAPMI, GIM Goa and so on. XAT Syllabus and pattern:

The exam pattern of XAT Exam 2020 keeps on changing very time to time. However, the changes are in number of questions, time duration and marking scheme and pattern as well. The basic XAT syllabus and sections remain the same.

In XAT 2020 a major change that happened was removal of descriptive essay writing section. This year even if there is a change in XAT exam pattern, no change is expected in the XAT syllabus.

XAT syllabus is now divided in 4 major sections

1. Verbal and Logical Ability

2. Decision Making

3. Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation

4. General Knowledge

Candidate should note that XAT syllabus is not limited to above topics. There may be question related to other topics related to these sections

Sectional cut off for the three sections of Part 1 that is Verbal & logical ability, Decision making and, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation sections will also be announced. You should clear all the sectional cut-offs as well as the overall cut-off score to be eligible for further GD/PI rounds. Few Business Schools has sectional cut-off has few taken overall cut-off, depends on others factors too.
