Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is 3 year license program which is regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation and Gov. of India. Mainly an AME is responsible for safety, security and maintenance of an aircraft. AME is authorized to issue the Flight Releasing Certificate (FRC).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must be pass out class 12th with non-medical stream (PCM)of any board or may be diploma holder with any stream. The age limit of candidate must between 16 to 24 at the time of admission. All candidates who are eligible for B.tech are also eligible for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course.

Entrance Exam

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test (AME CET 2018) is a national level common entrance test to get admission in AME institute that is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Gov. of India.  It is a single window solution to get admission in AME institute. Through this test candidate choose best AME institute to get admission in them.

Course Fee

Course fee to get admission in AME institute is depends on different institutes. The average fee is approx. 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakh per year which is depends on facilities that are provided by the institute. It also depends on other relevant criteria like as location, infrastructure, teaching staff and experimental material of an institute.

Approx. 50 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) institutes are in India which is registered by DGCA, Gov. of India. These institutes are in Delhi, Dehradun, Haryana, Gorakhpur, Lucknow etc. There is only one way to join such type of institute i.e. AME CET 2018. AME is best course to enter in aviation sector.
