Air conditioners often use a fan to distribute the conditioned air to an occupied area like a building or a automobile to boost thermal and indoor air quality. electrical refrigerant-based AC units vary from little units that may cool a little room, which may be carried by one adult, to huge units put in on the roof of workplace towers which will cool a complete building. The cooling is often achieved through a refrigeration cycle, however generally evaporation or free cooling is used. air conditioning systems may also be created based on desiccants (chemicals that remove moisture from the air) and pipes that may distribute the heated refrigerant to the buttom for cooling. 

In the most general sense, air conditioning will refer to any kind of technology that modifies the condition of air (humidification, cleaning, ventilation, or air movement). In common usage, though, “air conditioning” refers to systems that cool air. In construction, a whole system of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is named as heating, ventilation etc.
