Aim to fly high with Aeronautical Engineering Courses in India

by Nitin Kumar AME Institute in India
The two most prominent career choices after completing class 12 are- medical and engineering but as streams, these two ways have a lot of variety. Therefore, if you want to go for engineering but are in search of a road, which is not well trodden but has promises, then you should think about aeronautical engineering. It is a part of engineering only which is not quite popular but has much to offer and in India, it is thriving well. Thus, just go through the aeronautical engineering courses in India and see if it attracts you and leads you to a different destination.

Know the subject

Aeronautical engineering is a special branch concerned with the aviation industry. This discipline helps the student to know all about airplanes and other types of spacecraft. Apart from studying the science behind these airy-vehicles, you also get to construct and design those. The aim here is to maintain the aircraft and this discipline teaches that only. This type again possesses two other subtypes where one deals with the structure and other with the systems that help to govern the structure. The former is the Mechanical stream and the later, Avionics stream.

You can opt for any one of the two depending on your preferences and inclinations. If you delve deep, then you will understand that the Mechanical stream deals airplanes, helicopters, power plants and engines of various kinds. JE (Jet Engine), LA (Light Aircraft), PE (Piston Engine), HA (Heavy Aircraft), RA (Rotary Wing Aircraft) etc. are there in the syllabus. On the other hand, Avionics stream is concerned with Instruments Systems (IS), Electrical Systems (ES) and Radio Navigation (RN).

The aim is to obtain either a license or a certificate to ensure your footing in this field, which in turn requires you to possess adequate training. An academy offering this aviation course will provide both knowledge and training so that you can pass all your exams with excellence and establish yourself. However, the primary step for that is to take admission in aeronautical engineering courses in India

How to enter the gateway

To set foot in this field you need to know two things- eligibility criteria and admission procedure. These are the keys of the entrance of the program approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, part of the Indian government.

Eligibility Criteria: The student should cross the hurdle of class 12 with subject combination- chemistry, mathematics, and physics. (The cut-off marks might vary but generally, 50% is the lower limit).

Any person with a diploma in engineering can also apply here.

Admission Procedure: The admission is open till all the seats are filled. Therefore, all the eligible candidates with adequate documents get the chance to enter simply, by applying and filling up a form.

Certification: Along with all educational qualifications, a medical certificate assuring of the candidate’s health is also very important.
