This is perhaps the most widely used material for cremation urns. These urns are unique, artful and attractive as they feature nice colourful variations.

These urns are mostly made of brass, copper, bronze, pewter, and stainless steel. Certain sculpted cremation urns are also prepared from welded steel. As metals are durable and strong, the metal urns can be displayed indoors as well as outdoors.

They are usually coated with a protective layer of paint or lacquer to preserve their beauty. To make them look more modern, sophisticated, and shiny, some may feature a polished chrome finish.

4.     Wood

These beautiful urns are perfect for displaying indoors. The ones prepared from hardwood tend to be higher in price as compared to the ones prepared from softwood.

5.     Wood urn mead wood

Some manufacturers also allow you to add engraved inscriptions on the wood surface. The opening panels of most wooden urns are attached with screws.

To clean a wood urn, you just need to wipe it with a dry cloth; avoid using soap. You may also use furniture polish to maintain its sheen.

6.     Biodegradable materials:

Biodegradable burial urns are made of recycled paper, renewable mulberry bark, natural clay, planet fibers, gelatine, maple, sand and etc.

Thus, when planning to bury the ashes of a deceased in an urn or float the cremation urn in a sea or river, it is suggested that you go for an eco-friendly urn prepared from sustainable materials so that it does not harm the environment.
