Adobe-Microsoft Integration: New Improvements Unveiled

On June 19, 2018, Adobe announced several updates as well as integrations across its cloud-based applications suite to concert and process PDF documents. Prior to the announcement by Adobe, the Adobe Scan app only had the capability to automatically discover borders, clarify content, and apply optical character recognition (OCR) to make the document editable. The new upgrade consists of a new single-touch button which stores business card details to a contact record.

After identifying a business card, the app reveals a Save Contact button. If you press the button, it proceeds to automatically add the name, organization, contact number, email address, and picture to the contact list. If the user has subscribed to Adobe Document Cloud, then a copy of the contact is stored in the Adobe’s cloud storage locker.

Once Adobe Scan recognizes a business card, it presents a Save Contact button. Hitting the button adds the person’s details such as complete name, company name, phone number, email address, and image to the contacts, and if you’re an Adobe Document Cloud subscriber, it will save a copy in your cloud storage locker.

INTEGRATION WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE 365

In the month of September last year, tech giant Microsoft collaborated with Adobe to produce Adobe Sign, to receive payments and signatures securely with a digital signature solution for the users. Developing on this Microsoft-Adobe partnership, both Adobe sign, as well as Adobe PDF, are getting brand-new integrations with Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity suite as well as Microsoft Dynamics.

It also includes a security feature, i.e., password protection.

Tools for archiving, converting, and distributing Adobe PDF have also been released on Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint platforms.
