Education has become a priority in the state of Bahrain. With the help of the government a number of public schools have been established providing education to the children of the country. Manama is the trade capital of Bahrain and thus has become the home to many foreigners. This has led to the setting up of many international schools in Manama. These schools follow the curriculum of the particular nation and teach English as major language along with classes in Arabic and Islamic language.

How to take Admission in International Schools?

The private or international schools in Manama make no distinction of religion, race, gender or nationality while admitting the children. The schools follow a particular national curriculum and thus it can be beneficial for individuals of that respective country.

• The first stage in every admission procedure is the submission of application form.  The schools in Manama require the legal guardians or parents to submit filled and duly signed forms along with all the details and documents about the child. Issues if any must be clearly mentioned in the form.

• The admission forms must be submitted along with a specified fee. This assessment fee is non-refundable and can be paid in check or cash or card or even online transfer. 

• The schools undertake their own assessment tests to find the ability of the children who are interested to take admission. The tests are done according to the grade level of the kids. This test helps the school to find out the grade or level where the individual child can be placed.

• The age of the student, abilities, past academic records and physical and social abilities are the factors which help the schools to determine their placement in the particular grade.

• After the assessment is done and the child is selected for the grade, a letter is sent to the parents for joining the school. A fee has to be paid to register a seat which is also non-refundable amount. 

Things the parents must take care

The parents must follow some things which the schools set down. Some of the common points are:

• The data and documents submitted by the parents must be accurate and the schools have the right to verify them.

• The applicants are bound to undergo the tests and interviews required by the schools.

• The students joining the school must abide the rules and regulations led down by the school authorities. They must follow the requirements of the school like the uniform, syllabus and behavior. 

• All the required amount of fees and other expenses in the process of education must be cleared.

• The students can be expelled by the principal and the parent must accept the decision. They have to pay for vandalism caused by their child.
