The menopausal symptoms especially the hot flashes cause a lot of distress in women. A lot of women consult doctor in this phase because they face a lot of difficulties in leading their life in a normal way.

Many doctors suggest conventional treatment methods like HRT popularly known as hormone replacement therapy for reducing the menopausal hot flashes. This treatment has been very effective for some women while others have experienced a lot of distressing effects. HRT has in fact been proven to e linked to higher rates of heart attacks, strokes and breast cancer. So many doctors even suggest antidepressants, bisphosphonates, blood pressure medication and even anti seizure mediciations for reducing hot flashes. Becoming aware of the distressing effects of HRT, some women are even advised not to take it while many are reluctant in taking it.

However, the continuing distress caused by hot flashes has promoted a lot of Australian women to seek help from a reputed acupuncturist in NB. Acupuncture in NB has become very popular these days. A lot of women are visiting the clinics of acupuncturists in this area to treat several ailments especially hot flashes, digestion problems, fertility problems and body aches and the best part is these women are very much satisfied with the effects of this therapeutic treatment.

Several studies have shown that the Traditional Chinese Medicine has lowered the hot flash symptoms in women. A study was conducted recently where both the menopause symptoms and hormone levels were specially measured before as well as after a few weeks of the treatment. The outcomes were then compared to the Sham group, which received the therapeutic treatment in the non-related points of the body. It was found out that the hot flashes were reduced to a great extent in the Real group, which did the treatment with real acupuncture points. The LG levels were much lower while the estrogen levels were significantly higher after the healing method was conducted in the Real group.

Different studies have demonstrated that the TCM is least very effective in reducing the hot flashes in women. However, there are several symptoms of menopause other than the hot flashes like night sweats, vaginal dryness, insomnia, depression, anxiety, pains and aches, fatigue, urinary problems and palpitations.
