About NERIST Exam
NERIST is North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. It is one of the top educational institute which is based in Nirjuli, Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh).
NERIST which is a deemed university was incorporated in 1984 and is administered by Ministry of Human Resource Department, Department of Education, Government of India.
It conducts the NERIST Entrance Exam i.e. NEE to delimit the eligible candidates for the admission in different degree, diploma and certificate programs. To get the admission candidates have to qualify the three levels of exam namely NEE I, NEE II and NEE III. To appear in these exams we have mentioned some of the important details below.
1. NEE I Exam: Candidates should be high school passed in order to appear for this exam. This exam is conducted by the concerned authorities expectedly in the end of month April.
2. NEE II Exam: Lateral entry admissions in the engineering diploma or the degree program are given to the suitable candidates through this test.
3. NEE III: The exam is purposely organized for providing the admission to the candidates in the degree module program of engineering.
Notifications regarding these exams are published in the daily newspapers as well as online on the main website. Mainly the north eastern states of India execute these examinations.
NERIST Seats Reservation Policy
1. Candidates belonging to the eight states of the North East India (as state quota): 80% Seats
2. On the basis of merit students of north east: 7% Seats
3. Other states candidates under all India quota: 10% Seats
4. Physically handicapped candidates: 3% Seats
Candidates willing to get the admission in post graduate program offered by NERIST have to appear for the GATE Exam conducted by the IITs.
How to apply for the NERIST Exam?
1. Eligible candidates are required to apply online for the NERIST Exam by logging in to the website.
2. Go through the instructions panel and follow all the instructions.
3. Application fee of Rs 400/- along with the bank charges has to be paid by the SC/ST candidates whereas the General/OBC category candidates needs to deposit the sum of Rs 750 (+Additional Bank Charges).
4. Application fee can be submitted using the Credit card, Debit card, PayUMoney, Challan or Net Banking.
5. Upload the scan copy of your signature and your photograph as per the given size in the prescribed columns.
6. Once the payment process is completed you can check the preview and download the e-application form.
