About JEE Main 2016: Check Details
JEE Main 2016 will be held by CBSE, in the month of April. The notification
for the exam has not been released. However, it is expected that the Board
will release it in the 3rd week of November 2016. Through the brochure, the
Board will announce the exam date and the crucial details about it.
Candidates will also be able to fill and submit the application form of it
during the same duration. The application forms of JEE Main will only be
released online, on the official website, and candidates will not be able
to avail or submit it via any other mode.
The Main exam is held for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Whereas,
admission in IITs and ISM is held on the basis of JEE Advanced score. To
write the Advanced Paper, it is vital that candidates score well in JEE
Main exam because only 1.5 lakh Main toppers will be termed eligible to
write it.
*Important Dates*
Below we have provided duration when the events of JEE Main 2016 will be
held. As soon as the information brochure will be released, we will update
all the dates.
1.Information brochure due in: 3rd week of November 2015
2. Application form will be out in: 3rd week November 2015
3. Issuance of admit card will start in: 3rd week of March 2016
3. Exam will be held in: April 2016
4. Result will be announced in: 4th week of April 2016
Eligibility Criteria
It is very important that candidates check whether they are eligible or
not. As ineligible candidates will not be considered for seat allocation.
The terms and condition which each entrant must fulfill are as below:
The candidate should be born on or before 1 October 1991
Candidates should have qualified 10+2 exam in 2014 or 2015. However,
candidates writing the qualifying exam in 2016 may also apply.
The core subjects in 10+2 should be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
A candidate can write Main exam only 3 times.
*Application Procedure*
As stated above the JEE Main 2016 application form will only be released
online, on the official website. To fill the form, candidates will first
have to register on the official website, by submitting few details. On
registering successfully, application number and password will be allocated
to the candidate. With the help of it, the candidate will be able to login
and fill details in the application form.
It is very important to ensure that all the details entered in the
application form should be authentic and updated. Incorrect information may
lead to cancellation of the candidature.
Candidates must also note that to submit the application form candidates
will have to pay the application fee as well. The fee will be around Rs.
1800 for male candidates and Rs. 900 for female candidates. The exact
amount of the application fee will be announced through the information
brochure. Candidates who will not submit the application form and fee
properly, and before the lapse of the deadline, will not be issued admit
card.
