A wedding event manager is a very busy person, they are always on their toes, meeting new vendors and arranging meetings with clients looking out for new venues. 

 

Not everyone can do their job as they do it. To be a wedding event manager you need to have certain skills, some might be personal skills while others may be professional ones. 

 

Today we will talk about some skills that a wedding event manager must possess in order to be successful. Here are some of them!

 

Must have good communication skills

 

Where is the lie? To be a wedding event manager you need to be a good communicator. For instance, if you are not able to communicate your ideas to your clients then how will this partnership work? So, an event manager needs to have good communication skills. 

 

Event managers deal with vendors, caterers, and venues on a daily basis, they need to be assertive, not aggressive in their tone. 

 

Should be organized 

 

We all love an organized wedding event manager, organizational skills are a must to succeed in this field of work. You should keep a check on your team, and make separate folders for separate vendors. 

 

Your google drive can be of huge help in organizing and collecting all the data. 

 

Should be able to multi-task 

 

We know one person can not be at two places, but wedding event managers need to be born multi-taskers. There is so much they need to fit in one day that eventually they learn how to do it. 

 

But, if you are good at multi-tasking then you are already a good fit for this field. 

 

Creativity is a must

 

To be a successful wedding event manager you must be creative but practical. Creativity does not mean the groom needs to ride a unicorn!

 

They should have a touch of practicality in their creative ideas, they should think out of the box and come up with themes that may not have been done before. This would make their work unique and special. 

 

Sense of reality 

 

Having a sense of reality is a must for a wedding event manager. They should be able to fit the given budget. They should have the skills to deal with people and negotiate on their terms.
