A simple formula to inspire your sales force to close more sales than ever in this year
You're a sales manager in a leading MNC.
You have a team to manage. And you have targets to meet. Last year wasn't that good. And you're hoping for this year to be different.
But wishing doesn't help much unless you put in some serious work into it.
A simple formula to supercharge your people
You know your people the best. You know they're doing their best. You know they have taken up all the corporate training programs that have been arranged in the past. And you know that they really want to get to the targets. But somehow they haven't been able to perform and achieve their targets.
However, this simple formula will change it all for you and your people.
And the formula is to take one more step, every day.
What I'm suggesting here is that you and your team should do a little more, every day. Make one more call than you usually do. Make one more sales proposal. Make one more effort to convince the client, without sounding like a desperate soul.
I know this is totally simple and achievable. You might even wave at this idea saying this wouldn't make any difference. But before you chuck this idea, try it once. And try it with all your heart.
Will it really make any difference?
It will. Take my words for this.
Journey of hundred miles begin with one tiny step, right?
So just start out with this practice.
What is also important is that you keep on giving regular doses of corporate training programs to your people. Get in touch with a sales training consultancy company and see what it has to offer to help you close more deals and become more productive at work.
Putting the formula into action – a step by step plan to share the idea with your team and get them excited to put it into practice
- Speak with your team about this thing – you can discuss the idea on a Friday morning when your team is more relaxed than other days in office
- Build upon it – encourage them to share ideas to better it
- Recognize the areas where you need to put in more efforts
- Track the impact this simple formula will have on your people, performance, and targets
- Tweak it from time to time
If you've been working with a company for too long for your training, you might like to switch to some other company for a brief period and see the change in your people and the way they are performing. If results are positive, you can choose to stick with the company.
