A Non-Technical Advice for Purchasing a Windows Phone
There are several people purchasing an
Android phone. It is the most commonly used Smartphone in the World. Yet there
are some people, who go for Windows. I am one amongst them. I love trying new
stuff every time. Hence I decided to go on for a Windows phone after a year of
Android Phone usage. It all just happened suddenly with no great technical
research or advice. Now let me list down a layman’s experience on this Lumia
phones!
1. 1. Battery life
I was using a HTC based Android phone and to be very accurate, I had to charge it up at least once in the morning and once in the evening for a continued usage. But in the case of my Nokia Lumia 625, I have several times forgotten to charge it up before going to sleep! I should thank the best “Battery Saver“, option available in it. I go on for one more day with phone’s basic usage very easily.
2. 2. Speed of the phone
It is definitely an
undeniable fact that my Windows phone is amazingly fast in comparison to the
Android one. It never hangs and it is pretty cool and fast! Sometimes the
browser may hang. But still it recovers pretty quickly! And I should also
definitely add up some point about the wonderful reading mode of the Windows
phone browser. It presents a clear view of the Browser screen; removing away
the advertisements!
The Windows phone performs awesomely well even with low RAM memory availability. I think for a same application the Android ends up using at least twice the amount of memory that Windows phone needs!
3. 3. Windows Market
I should very frankly
admit that I am not an avid application geek. I just need the basic
applications that one layman needs. I don’t need any fancy applications or
mobile themes. Therefore whenever I open the Android store, I really get fed up
with the millions of search results that pours out in front of me! But Windows
market is clean and all the applications are clearly rated and there are no
overwhelming search results display, which helps me a lot!
But if you would love to experiment with lots of new applications; then Windows is not meant for you
4. 4.Elegance
All the above; the default themes of the Windows phone is satisfactory and elegant. I don't like fancy themes. I love professionally looking themes, therefore I thinks Windows performs better in this case too!
5. 5. Operating System
Reinstallation
The biggest advantage of
Windows phone is its amazing feature to re-install quickly. If we have some
trouble with the Operating System then we could very immediately reinstall the
Operating System simply with just few button clicks and in an hour time. But
those who own an Android phone will know, how tedious is it to go on for an
Operating System reinstallation and data backup.
All of the above I should admit that my Windows mobile phone is a second hand phone, that I purchased from http://www.used.forsale/. Still it perform amazingly well! So if you would love to stand out of the crowd, then I would suggest you to go on for a Windows phone!
