Rising Use of AI in Schools Comes With Big Downsides for Students

The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) produced a report showing the risks of using AI in the classroom. Teachers as well as parents voice their concerns regarding AI in the classroom. The following main points emerged:

• Data breaches or ransomware attacks

• Tech-enabled sexual harassment and bullying

• AI systems that do not work as intended

• Troubling interactions between students and technology.
