How Are Table Pads Made?

The construction of our table pads consists of three distinct layers. At the core is a 7/16" thick, light-density smooth fiberboard that provides structure and support. This core is then wrapped in a soft, velour-like underlining that adds an extra layer of protection. The surface layer includes two laminated insulation felt sheets that create a 3/16" thick barrier, which is finally wrapped in high-quality vinyl. The finished pad measures a total thickness of 5/8", ensuring flexibility while maintaining a flat and secure fit on your table.

All adhesives used in the manufacturing process are water-based and sourced from environmentally conscious Indiana-based suppliers. We never use animal-based glues, aligning our practices with modern eco-friendly standards.

Color Options and Materials

With 22 stunning vinyl top colors and eight velour-like underlining options, you can customize your table protector pads to match any décor. The vinyl material is manufactured in New Jersey, while the velour underlining is produced in Massachusetts. These materials meet strict California Proposition 65 safety and environmental standards, including phthalate-free compliance.

Heat Resistance and Surface Care

While our table pads offer protection against accidental heat sources up to 550°–600°F, it’s important to note that direct contact with very hot or cold items can still damage the pad’s surface. To ensure longevity, always use coasters or trivets under hot cookware or chilled items.

For tables requiring multiple pad sections, our proprietary Quick Lock™ system ensures a seamless and secure fit. Hidden beneath the surface, these high-quality plastic locks prevent the pad sections from sliding apart.
