Ram Mandir case and the historic decision of the Supreme Court
The legal proceedings excavated into literal records, archaeological findings, and religious beliefs to ascertain the due claim to the disputed land. The Archaeological Survey of India( ASI) played a pivotal part by conducting excavations at the point. The ASI’s report presented substantiation of apre-existing structure that had Hindu architectural rudiments, supporting the contention that it could be the remains of a Hindu tabernacle. The Supreme Court’s verdict, delivered by a five- judge bench, conceded the literal and religious significance of the point. The court ruled in favor of the construction of a Hindu tabernacle, while also feting the sentiments of the Muslim community.
