The Rajasthan Pay Matrix is a structured pay scale system implemented by the Government of Rajasthan for its employees, aligning with the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. This matrix provides a standardized framework for determining salaries, ensuring uniformity and transparency across various positions and departments.

Structure of the Rajasthan Pay Matrix:

The Pay Matrix is organized into 24 levels of Pay Scales i.e. L-1 to L-24, each corresponding to specific pay bands and grade pays from the previous pay structure. Each level comprises several cells that represent incremental pay stages. Employees progress vertically within their designated level based on their tenure and performance.

For instance, Levels 1 to 9 correspond to the earlier Pay Bands PB-1 (₹5,200–20,200), with Grade Pays ranging from ₹1,700 to ₹2,800. Levels 10 to 13 align with higher responsibilities with PB-2 (₹9,300–34,800) and Grade Pays ranging from ₹3,600 to ₹5,400. PB-3 (₹15,600–39,100), have Grade Pays ranging from ₹5,400 to ₹8,200.
