Hosting Tips to throwing an Amazing Holi Party in style!

Check the Guest List: The more the merrier

Based on your house capacity, create a guest list, to invite all your loved ones. This is an important step as you will be making all the other preparations based on these numbers. So, ask everyone to RSVP beforehand. Once the number is confirmed, decide a budget and create a rough plan to accommodate and entertain everyone. You can use e-cards to send these invites.

Focus on Colorful Home Decoration

The festival of color deserves a colorful interior decoration, so dress your home with vibrant decorative table accessories, sculptures, wall art, and other bright home decor accessories. For a feasible decoration, you can also consider using natural flowers. Apart from this, change your furnishing into color patterns and fabrics to give the decor a cheerful aesthetic.

Fix a Dress Code

Themed parties are always better, so for this festival also, you can decide on a theme. From traditional white outfits to white swimwear if you have a pool, you can select different clothes based on the available facilities. However, we recommend you to wear white colored clothes because it beautifully highlights all the other colors that you will be playing with on the garments. For a chic casual look opt for a white dress with flip flops and pair them with a cool bandana or colorful sunshades for an Instagram-able look. If you don't like white opt for lighter shades and pastels.

Supply of Colors

Ditch 'pakka rang' and opt for herbal and organic colors during this festival of colors. Arrange enough stock to play for a few hours. Also, avoid using any chemical-based sprays or colors that might be bad for your skin.

Peppy Music

You can't plan a party without a Party Playlist. Thanks to Bollywood, there are dozens of songs dedicated to the festival, which you can add to your Holi Playlist to get the spirits and the mood ready for celebrating the festival. Groove to classic songs like ‘Rang Barse’ or ‘Balam Pichkari’ to add the flavor of let's play Holi in your home with Bollywood's biggest hits.

Food

Holi is filled with fun, festivities, color, and mouth-watering desi desserts. So, when it comes to food, keep the theme India to truly enjoy this festival. Layout a table outside on your terrace or garden wherever you are celebrating the festival and cover it with sweets, snacks, and small bites on our cake stands, Lazy Susan Turntables, trays, bowls, etc., for creating an inviting platter for the food. Make sure there is enough distance between the platters and the color throwing area so that the food is not ruined. If you have limited space, consider keeping the food inside or covering it with glass domes. Add all the traditional holiday recipes including puran poli, Dahi vada, gujiya, sweet rice on the menu. Based on the guest list you can also hire a caterer and enjoy the party in full swing, without missing any fun.

Holi Drinks

During this festival, most of us like to let loose with Thandai and chilled beer. So, make sure to keep your bar accessories handy, and bottle openers and wine coolers ready to open bottles and keep everything chilled. Keep everyone hydrated under the sun with soda, mock-tails, and Lasi glasses.
