From boots to heels to oxfords & ballets, women have a variety of shoe styles in their closet. Most women are crazy about shoes and the more the merrier! So how does one go about choosing these styles?

Here are 6 must-have footwear styles for women

  1. Everyday Flats: When it comes to shoes, each pair must give both comfort & style. Your shoes must allow you to travel, walk & enjoy any outing without worrying about your feet. Flat sandals & mules with good padding are a closet essential. They are stylish enough to be work for everyday outing & with fashionable dresses our Sunday brunches.

  1. Formal Footwear: All women should have a smart, chic pair of formal shoes. They can be flat formals such as ballet flats or oxford shoes or can be classic court heels or tapered stiletto heels. Most formal shoes are available in neutral shades, brown or blue hues to give them a sharp yet sophisticated look.

  1. Statement Heels: Each footwear closet should have a minimum of two statement heels. These heels are high, bold, and stand out. High heels for women elevate any outfit and make a strong statement. These heels may not be the most comfortable for long durations, however, with a little bit of practice, they’re sure to be an outfit favorite.

  1. Ethnic Footwear: With fantastic & outlandish weddings in India, how can our footwear be left behind? Each shoe closet should have some beautiful ethnic flats & heels. PAIO’s designer collection with ace fashion designer Payal Singhal are perfect ‘Festive Edit’ shoes that are #weddinggoals.

  1. Platform shoes: Platform shoes are understated closet essentials. This style was a rage in the 90’s and is making a serious comeback.  With a heel that is elongated throughout the shoe, this style adds height with all the comfort of a flat pair. Platform shoes for women are available in a variety of styles from open-toed, oxford to even tie-up gladiators.
  2. Winter boots: As winter rears in its cold head, we tuck away our open sandals & shoes. Its time to bring out those chic gorgeous boots and flaunt them. From ankle boots to knee-high, this style never fails to flatter. Its elegant yet powerful form make this style a  must-have in the shoe closet.
