1. Bermuda

Commonly found in the southern parts of the United States of America, Bermuda is popularly known for its quick recovery rate as well as beautiful and firm texture that supports a good game. 


2. Bentgrass

Popularly known for its cool appearance and texture, unlike Bermuda, Bentgrass cannot withstand in highly heated conditions. During extremely hot weather conditions, Bentgrass needs a lot of irrigation and water supply in order to keep it soar and relaxed. The real beauty of Bentgrass can be experienced in evening games and spring season, when temperature is comparatively on the lower side.


3. Perennial Ryegrass

Commonly found in cool summer-regions, Ryegrass is the perfect example of fine texture and natural growth. Mowing it short might not be very convenient for extremely hot weather conditions. Ryegrass can be commonly found in Jaypee Wishtown golf course.



4. Poa Annua Grass

You will hardly find any golfer praising the Poa Annua grass. Shallow roots that are unable to collect rainwater & fast growing nature that makes the surface bumpy are some of the drawbacks that act as obstacles in your game. Although properly cut and maintained Poa Annua is also considered highly ideal for PRO tours and competitions on the other hand.


5. Fescue 

Commonly found in links golf courses, Fescue are perfect examples of low maintenance vegetation. Favorable for all kinds of tees and fairways, fescue also requires less water and mowing. The surface can be bouncy but firm.


6. Zoysia

One of the smoothest golf turfs comprises Zoysia grass all over the course. One of the most astonishing golf facts is that Zoysia grass is preferred by a lot of golfers as they find it blissful to play in this grass and feel that it is almost cheating. In order to achieve this smooth texture , Zoysia grass requires a lot of maintenance and expenditure making it almost impossible for golf courses who experience less foot fall.
