It’s three weeks to Christmas. Funny how times flies, I can vividly remember last Christmas like it was yesterday. It’s not too late to plan a little something special for yourself or with your family/loved one this Christmas.

1.       Adventure

Take a vacation – visit a new state. No better time to see the lively side of a state. The bustling streets with Christmas decorations and lights flashing here and there will jolt your Christmas spirit to life as you revel in the beauty.

2.       Beaches & Sun

The festive atmosphere dictates relaxation and the beach side is a perfect place for this. Around Christmas to New Year day, the beaches in Nigeria become the favourite destination for family picnic and fun time.

3.       Family Fun

Visit home. This is a long standing tradition for some people, but if not, this may be a perfect time to go home to see your parents and family. If you are the extremely busy type that never seems to get hold of any tangible time to spend with your loved ones, then this is a perfect opportunity to have some quality time with them.

4.       History & Culture

If you are a lover of history, artifacts and arts, this may be the perfect time for you to visit museums and galleries to appreciate the beautiful works of art and indulge in the creativity of the pieces. It is also a good time to learn more about the history of Nigeria and see items from the ancient time. You can also read a book about a new place or culture you are unfamiliar with – learn something new!

5.       Romance

Visit a romantic spot with your heartthrob. Is there any country you have always wanted to visit, some top romantic destinations like Paris, Seychelles, Zanzibar or Hawaii? Or perhaps you are not psyched or in tune with traveling abroad. There are quiet some nice places in Lagos or Abuja that can ignite the sparks and set you and your spouse in a good mood. Go bond!

6.       Shopping

Go on a shopping spree. You worked hard and long all year, it is not too much to spoil yourself a bit. Stock up your refrigerator and closet. Perhaps, you may even what to change your wardrobe and buy new furniture and deco for the house. Spoil yourself!
