5 Ways to Ensure a Social Distancing For Onsite Employees

by Distancing Stickers I am here to share knowledge about Social Distanc

Every employee does not have the leverage of doing work from home during the pandemic. Several companies require onsite employees, and it is the responsibility of the employers to ensure the safety of the employees. COVID social distancing decals can be a great option to maintain distance among the employees inside the office.

In the last few days, the number of newly infected people remains around 40K per day. However, there is no scope to give any relaxation on maintaining strict social distance. The current article pointed out some facts related to maintaining social distancing for onsite employees.

Start No-visitor Policy

Only permit the authorized employees to come inside the office. Employees working in the facility department should only be permitted to pick items. Further, ask the employees to get lunch from their home. Ordering curry or gravy items from outside may increase the risk of contamination.

Meet Remotely Inside the Office

One may get surprised by hearing it, but it is a great way to prevent virus contamination. You can take the help of the technology for collaborative endeavors and brainstorming sessions. You can ask them to use tools like Google meet, Zoom, Skype, and many more. Your employees can sit at their workstations and can communicate through these tools.

Maintain Space

Employers should only ask those employees to come who cannot complete their job from home. Further, the employees who will come to the office ask them to maintain a six-foot rule in between them, or you can place COVID social distancing decals that will work as a reminder. The rule of maintaining distance should be followed in all the areas inside the office, including the workspace, pantry, reception, and labs.

Redesign the Workspace

While thinking about maintaining space, you may require redesigning the space. If possible, create a barrier between the two employees. You can raise cubicle walls or use the glass dividers in the common areas. It will allow your onsite employees to use the facilities even without maintaining the six-foot distance. However, initial redesigning may cost you, but in the future it helps you in keeping the employees safe from the virus contamination.

Think About Shifting Duties

Do you have multiple employees performing the same task? If multiple employees are working on a common task or sequential task, you may ask the employees to work in shifts. It will reduce the onsite workforce, and maintaining social distancing will be easy. You can do the same with a group of employees if they perform the same or sequential tasks.

Ensure All the Precautionary Measures

Employee safety should be at the top of the priority list for employers. Ensure that your office must have all types of safety equipment, starting from hand sanitizers to hand wash. Further, all the space must have COVID social distancing decals to ensure the distance. Proper safety precautions will give the employees the confidence to come onsite and work.

Bottom Line

The current article emphasized the safety precautions for onsite employees. Employers must take it seriously to ensure employee safety.
