Delhi can be considered as the conglomeration of tradition and modern culture which has been complimenting each other from a long time. Delhi is the capital of the country and has several places to make you fall in love with the place. Apart from some of the popular places such as Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid etc which you visit in your 3 days 4 night golden triangle tour circuit, there are some unexplored places in Delhi which offers a unique experience.



Here’s the list of some of these unexplored places in Delhi which are awaiting for its visitors:

1. Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb

There are many type of historical monuments which are there in Delhi in which some are well known and some are still in darkness. One such monument which has yet not got its share of spot light is Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb. This structure is made in red sandstone, designed with beautiful arches and walls with Quran verses inscribed in the wall. This structure is situated right next to Mehrauli archaeological complex, next to magnificent Qutub Minar. This is considered to be the tomb of sufi saints Shaikh Jamali and hid aid Kamali.

2. Haveli of Mirza Ghalib

Who doesn’t know about the famous poet Mirza Ghalib. If you are a poetry lover, you will be aware about the poet from Mughal era and is work in urdu and persian. But not many of us know that you can see his residence in the narrow lanes of Old Delhi. There is 150 year old haveli in chandni chowk which is now converted into museum which shows the poetic days of Mirza Ghalib. This museum traces the the famous work, quotes, paintings, statues, photos from his lifetime.

3. Agrasen ki Baoli


This historical site can be located in the concrete jungle, amidst the concrete jungle of connaught place. Agrasen ki Baoli is a stepwell, this structure was created in the 14th century to preserve water and give resting place to the travellers. This structure is now a loved place for a poets, photographers. Simply walk down to his historical place and explore its various arched niches and enjoy a piece time within the city.

4. Majnu Ka Tila

If you have taken a golden triangle tour package and don’t visit some of the unexplored places in Delhi then you cannot consider your tour complete. Explore Tibet in Delhi at the tibetan colony of Majnu ka Tilla. This was a refugee camp which was setup for tibetans and the area was named after tibetan sufi saint Majnu, also popularly known as little tibet. You can see the glimpse of tibet and shop for various kinds of accessories, handicrafts and experience  buddhist custom in these narrow lanes.

5. Sanjay Van

A green lush forest in Delhi. Is it imaginable? Well, yes it is!

Sanjay Van is one of the largest forest patch in Delhi. This area is a perfect place for nature lovers and bird watchers away from the hustle bustle and pollution of Delhi. Consider walking through the forest and get the glimpse of nature and relax yourself in the forest serenity. The forest land is spread around 10 km. Another attraction of this place is a tomb of sufi saint which is regarded as haunted.
