5 Tips to maintain the Fiat Windshield

2 Replace the wipers regularly - another tip to maintain your Fiat windshield is to replace its wipers regularly. Ideally one should get them replaced every 6 months. However, if you drive your Fiat for long distances regularly or leave it parked in the sun, the replacement must be done without fail. This is because frequent use degrades the wipers and can cause damage to the windshield.
3 Clean the windshield regularly - You must know that dirt, bugs and pollen are and can significantly compromise the integrity of the car windshield or other auto glass. They can scrape the glass, creating micro abrasions and making the windshield more susceptible to cracking. So, if you want to extend the life of the windshield and save on the windshield cost make sure you clean it regularly.
4 Avoid parking in direct sunlight - this tip really applies to people who stay in hot cities. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can significantly shorten its life span. The ultra violet rays affect the structural integrity of the windows as well. Small cracks in the windshield will worsen if there are significant temperature differences between the inside and outside of the car. So, it is always advisable to park in shaded areas or in a garage, if possible.
5 Do not ignore small chips - car owners tend to ignore a small chip, thinking that it is harmless. But what they do not know is that this small chip will turn into a giant crack that will cover the entire windshield, if not treated on time. One may also need to get a complete windshield replacement. If you don’t want this to happen with your Fait windshield, make sure you get the small chips replaced immediately. If there are 3 or more chips, it is necessary for you spend the Fiat windshield price and get a replacement as soon as possible.
