5 Tips From A Therapist To Live A Healthy Lifestyle

by Ruchi G. Content Writer

Everybody wants to stay fit and healthy, and nowadays, people are becoming more fitness conscious than ever before. In an effort to stay healthy, people employ a lot of different things in their life; they hit the gym, change their diets, eat trendy superfoods, and so on and so forth. But, due to things like hectic work schedules, instead of making healthy habits a lifestyle the majority of people tend to drift apart from them over time, and only come back after reverting to their old, unhealthy life choices. We don’t require a new year resolution to change our lifestyle, and especially our eating habits. Instead, staying healthy and productive should be a life-long practice. Thus, the following are 5 tips from a therapist to live a healthy lifestyle:

  • Drink Sufficient Quantities of Water

Water, when taken in a sufficient and required quantity, is undoubtedly an elixir of life. Water helps to remove toxins from our body, and at the same time provides the fantastic benefits of fat loss, improved brain function, and even balanced body temperature. One must drink 1.5 – 2 liters of water in a day for proper hydration and maintenance of bodily fluids.

  • Don’t skip on Fruits & Vegetables

Although you might get tempted to have fast food and other unhealthy stuff over fruits and vegetables, one must remember that fast food is just empty calories without any kind of nutritional value. Fruits and vegetables, on the other hand, are storehouses for essential vitamins, minerals and even anti-oxidants which can drastically improve your health and well-being (and gradually even increase your productivity at work).

  • Manage your Mental Health and De-stress With CBD Oil

A healthy lifestyle doesn’t just mean taking care of yourself physically. In fact, living a truly healthy life includes the pursuit of mental well-being just as much as physical well-being. And everyone knows, of course, that it is difficult to be fit mentally when we are surrounded by a lot of anxiousness over various matters. Thankfully, though, there is a way to de-stress and relieve yourself from the anxiousness and worries of everyday life. That way is using Cannabidiol, or CBD Oil.

CBD oil doesn’t produce any kind of psychoactive effects, and it is a very powerful, 100% natural anti-anxiety and anti-depression product. Our body has a natural Endocannabinoid system which produces cannabinoids that play an important role in various functions of the brain, endocrine system, immune system, and even the stress response system. The cannabinoids from CBD Oil work to enhance the functionality of natural cannabinoids in the body, thereby helping the body to combat stress and anxiety, and thus helping you to relax and de-stress.

  • Exercise

Daily exercise has both physical as well as mental benefits. Exercise, along with eating healthy, keeps you productive and at high energy levels throughout the day while promoting a good night sleep at night. Also, exercising makes the body release endorphins, what are the “feel-good hormones” that make you feel happy and stress-free.

One can pick up a convenient timing or schedule for exercise and choose anything from dance, aerobics, yoga, running or weight-lifting - anything to fit your unique interests and time constraints.

  • Have enough Sleep

During sleep, our body does all kinds of repairs and maintenance that makes us ready to take on the challenges of the next day. It is advised to have at least 7 hours of sound sleep each day, but what most people don’t know is that it is not required to take all the sleep in one go. People follow what’s called biphasic and polyphasic sleep patterns, which means either taking complete sleep in two shifts (biphasic) or taking it in more than two shifts (polyphasic). One can choose and create his/ her own sleeping schedule, according to convenience and their specific lifestyles.
