Then comes the use of a moisturising SPF cream in the morning and a basic one for the night to lock in the ingredients of the serum and hydrate your skin.

Choose your skin-care products wisely

Different skin care products react differently on varying skin types, and this is something you must keep in mind while buying them (this advice works for makeup, too!). If you have oily skin, aloe sheet masks will work really well for you, and similarly, if you have dry skin, you can pick honey face masks. Make sure you understand the needs of your skin before investing in any product.

Stay out of the sun as much as possible

Now this is something that may be a bit tough for you but it is necessary that you stay out of the sun. Excessive exposure to UV rays can be really damaging to your skin and is the major accelerant of the ageing process. Yes, you may be applying SPF products but there is a limit to which they help, so try to limit your sun exposure!

Exfoliate your skin twice a week

Exfoliation of your skin is the one step that you definitely must include in your skincare routine. This is something that a lot of youngsters forget as it is not a daily affair. Exfoliation helps in the eradication of dead cells and this is crucial in making sure that there are no blackheads or dirt-filled pores on your skin. Use good quality scrubs for this cleaning process and do apply a fruit pack from time to time to ensure that there are no open pores at the end of this step.

Including anti-oxidants in your diet is a must

You can do all you want to improve your skin but if it is not healthy from within, then these steps won’t be of much use. Nothing beats eating healthy, well-balanced meals to improve your skin. For this, the intake of antioxidants is the most effective solution to the signs of ageing. Walnuts, broccoli, fish, berries, green tea and spinach are some of the best food items that you can eat.
