5 Calming Yoga Poses for Autoimmune Disease

It is the immune system of the human body, which protects it from those deadly viruses(covid19, Ebola, etc.) and diseases. If the immune system of a body is weak, then it's obvious, the body will not be able to resist those diseases and hence will often fall ill. There are some immune glands in the body like Thymus, which enhance the immunity power. According to experts, if the immunity glands will be adequately maintained, then there will be no issues with the immune system. 

   If you are struggling to improve your immune system, then it's highly recommended to start practicing yoga exercises. Yes, Yoga and immunity are co-related with each other. With regular yoga practices, it is feasible to enhance the immune system of a body and to stay fit & healthy all the time. Below here some yoga for immunity has been described keenly. Just go through the below yoga poses, to restart the functioning of your immune glands. 

  • Dhanurasana -

This is also known as Bow pose, as you have to make your body, just like a Bow. Lie down on your stomach and stretch your legs towards up. Take your hands to the backside and collect those feet tightly. You need to ensure that only your belly portion is touching the ground, and all your body parts are in the air. Look up and stretch as much as you can. You need to hold in this particular position for at least 5-10 breaths. Continue this yoga pose for 3-4 times in the morning. Indeed, you will see improvement in your immune system from the first week itself. Apart from boosting immunity, this yoga exercise will also tone up your legs as well as hands. 

  • Poorna Bhujangasana -

Popularly this yoga pose is named as Full Cobra yoga exercise. This is one of the best Yoga for the immune system. First, lie down on the yoga mat over your stomach. Now put pressure on your wrist and move your body to air, with wrists parallel to shoulders. You should need to support the backside of your body on your knees. It is recommended to stretch the feet as high as possible. It will be very beneficial if your feet are touching the head. Make sure; you are holding up in this position for at least ten breaths. 

  • Kapalabhati -

This yoga practice will not only improve your immunity but will also clear your nasal passages and lungs. You will witness a great peace of mind, after doing this pranayama yoga. Sit down on your yoga mat and start inhaling & exhaling through your nose. While inhaling, make sure your navel is pulled upwards. The main objective of doing this exercise is to strengthen your abs. You also need to ensure that your expiration is maintained as per every 20 breaths, at least. Continue this exercise for 5 minutes and slowly open your eyes. 

  • Downward facing dog

First, relax your body in a tabletop position. Now support your body on your palms and toes, and make sure that your hips are flying high in the air. Your wrists should be in front of your shoulder. It is essential to make the back and knees straight. Well, if you have any back pain, then you can also bend your knees a bit. This inversion exercise will improve as immunity as well as the flexibility of your body. Again, if you are going through stress or anxiety issues, then those issues will be efficiently resolved.

  • Savasana -

This yoga practice gives you ultimate relaxation land that helps you to reduce your stress issues. The experts greatly recommend this yoga pose for enhancing the immune system of the human body. Lie down on your yoga mat, as if you have no sense. This yogic sleep allows your cell to regenerate and to improve their functioning. If you are unable to do other yoga exercises, then you can rely on this. Slowly, bring all your body parts to sense, and then wake up from the sleep.
