4 Stunning Countertop Ideas For Your Bathroom Vanity

by Alvin Williams Marketing Manager at Aphrodite Marble & Granite Co

Home decor can get addictive once you start refurbishing your home or if you’re moving into a new one. It is so because you can do so much with so little with just a tinge of creativity.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by looking at their bathroom. Isn’t that crazy? How would you like to be perceived? Is your bathroom the way you’d like it to be?

It’s never too late to turn your bathroom into the ideal one for you. Since your bathroom vanity sets the tone for your bathroom you should start from there.

We have some great ideas that can help you get the stunning bathroom of your dreams.

4 Stunning Bathroom Countertop Ideas

  1. Teaming granite/marble with a white sink

Granite and marble are best suited with a master bathroom. You can team a brown, grey, white, or black countertop in these materials with a white sink.

This will give your bath the sleek look you desire. If you’re bothered about the high price of granite, you should know that you can get a grand look on a low budget as well.

Yes, nowadays, you find affordable grades of granite that can give your bathroom the same edge that an expensive one can.

Beware of stains from hair products, it tends to stain marble faster than granite.

  1. Colorful tiles with built-in sink

A tiled countertop is another great look for your bathroom. You can use small colorful tiles, either of a particular shape or any asymmetrical shape, to give your bath an artistic touch.

The only downside of this style is its maintenance, grout is an inevitable dirt-trap. However, if arranged in a smart way, you can have less trouble.

You can use ceramic or natural tile for a countertop vanity and team it with an in-built smooth-edged sink.

  1. Wooden finish with vessel sink

This is one of my favorite looks which gives the most vintage touch. However, be sure that your wood vanity top is well-sealed as wood is a porous material and is susceptible to water damage.

If you do plan on giving wood a try, you can club it with a white or black rectangular sink or a fancy vessel sink.

Just a heads up, you might have some plumbing issues later on in the future if you install a wood countertop. So be sure to get high-quality faucets and plumbing systems for longevity.

  1. Laminate texture with glass vessel sink

Laminate countertops are the most inexpensive and widely available. If you want to give your countertop a solid surface or granite-like look, laminate can be a cheap option.

This material is super versatile because of which many homeowners love it. It’s tough, stain-proof, and stands up to water quite well. However, it dents and dulls pretty easily.

The best choice of a laminate design is a dark-colored countertop with a glass or brass vessel sink. This, if teamed with good lighting in your bathroom can enhance the classy look of this decor.
