3 Tips for Tiling Small Bathroom

by Lisa C. Marketing Writer

Bathroom with small space have no scope for designing – that’s what a large number of homeowners believe. For that reason, they do not invest much in their bathroom.

But the truth is, you can use quality products and involve modern elements to increase the functionality of your small bathroom. One such design element is tiles – both stones and tiles.

In this blog, we give you some of the useful tips you can follow to make your bathroom look good, feel spacious, and make functional. Check out the following –

Use Light Color Tiles –

For smaller spaces, it is always smart to include light color tiles. They create an expansive effect, and make your small bathroom feel larger.

If there is no or less exposure to natural sunlight, then light color tiles will add brightness to your space. Apart from that, on a typical warm summer day, these tiles will help maintain the cool in your bathroom.

Large-Size Tile –

There is one more way to make your small bathroom appear larger. And that is large size tiles.

Regular tiles are 12 inches X 12 inches or 18 inches X 18 inches. But if you use larger tiles (of 24 X 24 inches, 24 inches X 36 inches, or 24 inches X 48 inches), you would technically make your walls and floor appear less busy because of fewer grout lines and tile joints.

Apparently, large size tiles are available in ceramic-porcelain and natural stone. You can choose the material depending on your budget.

Diagonal Tiling –

Placing tiles diagonally is also a cool idea to differentiate your bathroom design. It gives a unique visual appeal to the bathroom. Plus it makes rows of tiles appear longer, creating an illusion of larger space.

Furthermore, it is also advisable to use polished or glossy tiles for walls and ceiling. It adds shine and reflect to your walls. It also makes cleaning an easier and maintenance effortless.
