3 Home Upgrades You Didn’t Know You Need

by Tint Fx Home, Glasses, Window, Tinting

One of the best things about being a homeowner is that you get to make all the changes and upgrades you want to where you live. As a renter, you were very limited in what you could do, and changes were seldom allowed. Once you sign on the dotted line for your new home and property, you can let your imagination run wild and start dreaming of the perfect place you would like to create.

You can take on any project you can imagine now, from simple colour scheme changes to design upgrades to major renovations if you would like. Perhaps you’ll go for a chef’s kitchen, or an ensuite remodel that transforms your ordinary bathroom into a beautiful, spa-like space. You can change the feeling of some rooms with beautiful paint, and the addition of designer accents. There are also some other home upgrades that can add a lot to your home, but you probably didn’t know you needed them. Interested to hear more? Read on!

1.         Decorative Window Tinting to Enhance Privacy

Everyone loves windows in their home, but when the windows are in rooms where you truly need privacy leaving them open to viewing by outsiders is not the best plan. Having privacy in your bathroom is certainly a must, so installing frosted window film there is a good idea.

You may also find you want privacy in your kitchen when you are preparing meals. To address this, you could use frosted window film on the lower kitchen windows and leave the upper windows as is. This form of tinting allows light to pass through so your rooms are lit, but has qualities of simple light dispersion that help ensure your privacay.

2.         Key Kitchen Updates

Sometimes folks opt for a total kitchen remodel, but that can be expensive and be incredibly disruptive. By taking an incremental approach, you can add upgrades that can help re-make your kitchen into a far better space.

If you love to bake or have lots of holiday guests over, consider upgrading to a double wall oven. A pot filler faucet in a central island can make filling heavy pots a breeze. We could all use more storage, so choosing a pantry closet upgrade will give you a place to store all your kitchen staples.

3.         An Outdoor Kitchen

During the pandemic, we discovered that we were woefully short on space in our home. Kitchen tables became a work space, and after a while everyone was piled up on one another with no personal space.

When you add an outdoor kitchen, you open up amazing possibilities for outdoor enjoyment, dining and entertainment. Your deck and backyard become a beautiful extension of your home.
