Mazda has taken a sharp look at its mid-size sedan, and the result is a refreshed 2016 Mazda6(with Car Dvd Player). Nobody gets excited about bread and butter. Mid-size sedans are the bread and butter of the automotive industry. Folks may get all worked up over the latest sexy roadster or the SUV that can climb Everest, but when it comes time to plunk down their hard-earned cash, it’s the mid-sized sedan that gets plunked – almost 2.4 million times in 2015. Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima together accounted for 47% of those sales last year, according to sales tracking website GoodCarBadCar.net. Mazda sold 57,897 Mazda6 sedans last year, good enough for 11th place on the charts. What is the difference between those 57,897 Mazda6 buyers and the 429,355 buyers who chose a Toyota Camry? In all likelihood, the Mazda buyers actually enjoy driving, and care about the entire driving experience. The experience begins with the exterior. Mazda has applied its “KODO – Soul of Motion” design language to the Mazda6, with a new grille and headlight design. LED headlights are available on the Touring trim level, and are standard on Grand Touring. Muscular front fenders and sleek lines give a sense of forward motion in repose. Excellent fit and finish on the exterior enhance the feeling of class. Inside, the word “cockpit” can be applied. The revised dashboard, center console and armrest have a driver-centric feel. A 7” color touchscreen lives on the top of the center console, properly located in the driver’s forward field of view. Material selection is excellent, with soft touch plastics in all the right places and a very crisp design throughout. The heated leather seats in my Grand Touring model were very comfortable and supportive. Center console space has been freed up with the new electronic parking brake, which operates with a switch (as opposed to the space-hogging lever of the previous hand brake). Second row passengers are treated to decent legroom and headroom, and a decent outward view with reasonable shoulder height. The trunk has a capacity of 14.8 cubic feet, a little less than the Altima (15.4), Camry (15.5) and Accord (15.8/15.5). What about install an Android Car Gps? There’s just one engine available for Mazda6: A 2.5-liter direct-injected inline four-cylinder gasoline powerplant that’s tuned to produce 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Both Camry and Accord have a V6 available in addition to a four-cylinder; Altima comes with a four-cylinder only. Front-wheel drive is the standard in this class. Sport and Touring models of Mazda6 can be ordered with a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic; Grand Touring comes with a six-speed automatic exclusively (Accord’s four-cylinder variants use continuously variable automatics or six-speed manuals; Altima uses a CVT; Camry has a six-speed automatic). Fuel economy estimates for the Mazda6 are very competitive: 25 mpg city/37 mpg highway for the manual; 26/38 for the automatic; and 28/40 for the automatic with i-ELOOP technology. If installing an Android Car Stereo in your car, that would be great!
