I agree it is very important to have a website. I also love wordpress. However not all types of sites are suited for wordpress i.e sites with databases running on scripts. I can only advise business with such sites to start a wordpress blog for posting business news, articles related to their business, etcetera It will help get traffic to their main site provided they use one of the many seo add ons of wordpress

@Rose you don't need to do any coding with Wordpress and adding features is as easy as selecting a plugin and clicking a button. I know it's not free, but a buck a month is well within reach for anyone serious about running a business.

I couldn't agree with you more, but what you have laid out here looks like a full time job. I think having your own website can be a much easier task if you set up Wordpress and build it as you go. I use more pages and fewer posts, so it becomes a reference point for both prospects and associates you work with.
