3 Tips to Maximize Safelist Response
3 Tips to Maximize Safelist Reponse
Below are some simple tips to help maximize response from your Safelist and Credit based list advertising.
1. Setup Banner and Text ads
Most safelists and credit based lists offer you the ability to add a Banner ad and/or a Text ad. These ads are shown to members when they login to use the system and can be very effective.
Make sure you login and locate the Banner Rotator/Text Ad system in your Safelist members area
2. Setup Login Ads
Most Safelist and credit based lists offer the ability to purchase LOGIN ads or offer LOGIN ads to ugpraded members. Login ads are very effective as members must view the ad for a specified amount of time to earn credits before entering the members area.
I recommend advertising a Lead Capture or Squeeze page as your Login ad. It's always best to be building your list!
3. Use Different Subject
Most marketers are members to more than one safelist or credit list. To maximize response, it's recommended that you do not use the same subject when sending to multiple lists.
Use the same ad and change the subject so that members who belong to multiple lists will not get immune to your subject and will be more likely to open and read your advertisement.
I hope these tips help you get better response from your Safelist and Credit Based list advertising.

Most informative tips from Janet again. In fact, I wasn't aware that changing the subject in every and each mail would really make a difference in click rate and I 'll definitely adapt this method in future.

Great information and good advice. Thank you for posting this. I am a newbie when it comes to this type of marketing and I am soaking it up as fast as I can read it.

No but since more and more German are coming to Switzerland for working, we annexed them to spare them the fear of leaving their country. :)
The only problem which remains for them is the language. They speak High-German. We speak Swiss-German. We understand them. They don't understand us!

I didn't know that. Was it the case in WW II ? :)

Don't worry about that: The 27th state of Switzerland is Germany!

I know that saying, I guess you forgot that I'm half swiss and half french. On German we have a similar saying: " Wer schreibt, der bleibt", which translated means: The one who writes is the one who survives. It's of course not as poetic as yours: it's German!

It's even worse, Eric, you WROTE it. In French, we have a saying, "les paroles s'envolent, les ecrits restent", which translated means, words said fly away, words written stay for life :)
About branding your name, you deserve it all the way, my friend :)

Philippe, I nver said that word, I wrote it only! And as Janet mentioned: it's just another word for fun. Btw. Philippe, thanks in helping me branding my name! :)

I have a suggestion, Janet. I don't know if you know, but you can top a comment when it enriches an article. Eric's comment does just that, IMO.

I agree with you Janet. Use multiple subject lines. I even suggest to change banners, text ads, email content, and landing page frequently too. In the end it always comes down to the same: WORK!

Awesome additional info, Janet. I suggest you edit your article and add it. :)

Great point Philippe. What I recommend is that you have a few subjects that you rotate among the safelists and I find using a question in the subject gets opened more often :-)

Janet, I had sent you a PM ( private message) about this article. I took the initiative I mentioned. It got you an additional reader already. :)
For those who wonder, this is something positive I did.
Back on topic, point 3 is so obvious, I should have thought of it. On the other hand, wouldn't you say it could be a good idea to write the same headline, since it's said it can take up to 7 times that you send a message for the person to join or buy?
