Most people find it difficult to convey emotion through the written word, especially when trying to be brief in their writing. It is acceptable to use "Smileys," as they help the reader know whether you are joking, angry, sad, or sarcastic.
Hint: One way to take the "heat out" is to show what you mean by actually writing it in. At the end of your sentence put in <joke> or <cheeky>. <g> is simple and quick, and means <grin>. These additions help people to know what you mean. For a detailed listing of "Smileys", also know as Emoticons (emotional icons), visithttp://www.pb.org/emoticon.html.
Some examples of the more commonly used Smileys are:
:-) Happy =) :)
:-( Sad :(
:-| Stern
;-) cheeky, winking
:-D Laughing
:-O Shocked
And one that will make you smile:
"(_/_) (_\_) (_|_) (_/_)" Shake your Booty...booty dance..LOL (Laugh out Loud)
Common Emoticons and Acronyms
Emoticons (emotional icons) are used to compensate for the inability to convey voice inflections, facial expressions, and bodily gestures in written communication. Some emoticons are better known as "smileys." Emoticons can be very effective toward avoiding misinterpretation of the writer's intents
*Careful when using '!' or ALL CAPS.. this can be perceived as Yelling and possible anger... use emoticons instead when trying to use emotion.
The Golden Rule of Netiquette is:
The correct answer is remember the human. When communicating via computer, it's all too easy to forget that those are real people out there with real feelings and egos. If you wouldn't say something to their face - you should not say it over the internet. It's OK to express your opinions, but be sensitive to the feelings of others.
Hint: Think about how you would like people to treat you when they are communicating with you over the Internet and remember that no matter where you are (online or in real life) you are the only one that is accountable for your actions.

Thank you Sean... I have mainly blogs written about my products, but this is one of the many blogs I use for my newbie Facebook retailers that have just begun their adventure in the online world. I am always surprised at how many people are just now joining us online, but so many are scrambling with the simple things and the 'how to's', so I try to keep it simple and let my team of experts advise on their area of expertise :)
Thank you for responding...looking forward to learning more about
