I like your idea and agree with you that signage can bring in a lot of business. I have friends that also do this with much success.

Another idea that I have been using myself is through the use of business cards. I leave them everywhere especially when I go shopping (I insert them into cases of beer or leave a card on a grocery shelf..put them in magazines...etc...) and was surprised when I had taken a trip out of town and only left business cards in empty shopping carts and

Signs are a very good way of advertising I don't deny that I in fact agree with it.

However I think that things should be done correctly and if you are going to use signs use them correctly. Know the drawbacks and the benefits. Or don't you realize that using your signs correctly could lead to an added benefit for your clients if they do indeed need commercial Insurance since their personal car could now become business expense instead of a personal vehicle.?

Actually check with the insurance company. Even though it is a personal vehicle and registered as a personal vehicle, the insurance company is the one that writes your insurance policy and they may class it as a commercial vehicle if you are displaying a sign.

I have a sign on my vehicle and I do not have it registered as a commercial vehicles. Texas state law does not require this. Check with your individual state about laws. Thanks for the information!

Signs are a great way to drum up business, just remember when you put a sign on a car it may be considered a commercial vehicle so make sure you check with your insurance company to find out if you need to switch to commercial vehicle insurance, otherwise your coverage may not be in force if you have an accident.
