Don't Go Broke Trying to Build an Online Business

by Ben Greene CEO BQG Group

Trying to Buy Success

Are you a serial IM product buyer? Are you spending money left and right in hopes of finding the perfect internet business system? Do you find yourself hitting the BUY NOW button day after day, believing that you're about to find the missing link in your moneymaking chain?

If you're spending a fortune on your business, you're not the only one. Far too many Internet marketers are doing the exact same thing.

And that's totally understandable. It's entirely reasonable to invest in new strategies and tools to fine-tune your profitable IM enterprises. It's sane and sensible to invest in new strategy guides to stay abreast of changes in the industry and to get your hands on innovative ideas. Spending that money when you're struggling is a different story.

There's a significant difference between trying to stay on the cutting edge and gambling on every possible tool in hopes of making a business work.

You want to be the smart investor. You want to avoid being the serial buyer whose efforts only add to his or her debt.

Making Smart Purchases

How can you avoid dumping too much cash into things you don't really need? It starts by building a rock-solid foundation. If you look at the core of Internet marketing, it's really rather simple.

You need a product to sell. You need to have a strategy to sell that product. You need to secure traffic to the website you'll be using to generate sales.

That's it. Everything you do needs to strengthen one or more of those three simple core needs.

That means that you should start by building a solid foundation on all three fronts. Anything you buy as you're building your business needs to address the construction of that foundation.

Before you start reaching for details, tweaks, adjustments and tricks, you need to develop your core means of making online money. When you have a foundation in place, you will make money. Then, you can pay for those new products with house money instead of digging a hole for yourself.
