Otterbox "Commuter Series" eReader Cases
Companies are coming up with interesting gizmos which flaunt lustrous designs and innovative features, thereby augmenting the need to shield these devices with protective cases. OtterBox has released its Commuter series cases for the Amazon Kindle 3, Amazon Kindle DX, Barnes & Noble Nook and Sony Reader Touch Edition.
These new solutions boast of three protective layers and claim to be bump, shock and dust resistant. The first layer accommodates a self-adhering screen protector that restricts unnecessary scratches or damages which affect the overall viewing experience.
"These eReaders are an emerging technology that OtterBox could not ignore," commented Curt Richardson, founder and CEO of OtterBox. "Commuter Series cases are a great way to add protection and style without sacrificing the simplicity and on-the-go nature of these devices."
The second layer sports a soft silicone wrap that renders enhanced ergonomics and absorbs shock from abrupt dings or drops. In addition, the Kindle DX and Kindle 3 cases come along with a fully interactive keyboard cover. The silicone plugs shield the ports from dust while a polycarbonate shell precisely fits around the silicone.
The Commuter series case for the Nook eReader is tagged at $49.95, Amazon Kindle DX at $64.95, Amazon Kindle 3 at $49.95 and Sony Reader Touch Edition at $49.95.
