Back links, what back links? We dont need no stinking back links

I have been pursuing the notion that getting links from sites in my niche is the best way to get a higher PR (page rank) but I was wrong.

Back links are very important for PR, but not for traffic. Niche back links are very good but not the best strategy to use to get a higher PR.

@Gilberto Thanks it is highly appreciated. However i can't give inlog info since i have super admin rights. Nothing personal, wouldn't even give it to my husband or mother. I just have to learn it myself.

I was not aware about comluv. Even I use a wordpress platform for my blog. I think I will install it and give it sometime to see if it really helps to get PR.

@Gilberto I know about the ComLuv. I have been struggeling with it a while ago. Signed up for it and got stuck. I will come to this eventually but I am to buzy now with luanch of pet niche and new kooiii

@Paula van Dun I posted a response to your comment. I will keep saying it until my face turns blue using the Com Luv plugin (I know intensedebate is supposed to be the same but since I use Wordpress, I can only really speak about ComLuv) will get you backlinks. For example Paula I know that you have made several comments on my blogs. Had you had the ComLuv plugin each of those comments would have been back links to your own blog.

No, the info is still good. All I am saying is that we do not need to focus on trying to get backlinks just from our target niche. Back links from all sites will do.
