Do you REALLY want to be rich?
Network marketing can do it, affiliate marketing can do it, Internet MArketing can also do it. In fact, most businesses can make you rich, if you REALLY want to be rich.
So, do you, REALLY, want to be rich?
Personally I can only shout a big resounding YES! What about you?
After all, without having to be concerned of money, you can do so much more, help so much more and give so much more.
Thing is, you have to be mentally rich as well. Or else, you'll never get there. Unless of course you win the lottery, but look at what happens to those winning the lottery not ready for it, you've heard of them haven't you?
Right back to the gutter they go, some even more indebted than before.
If you REALLY want to be rich, you'll enjoy this article.

Do you REALLY want to be rich?
by Dr. Jeffrey Lant
One day years ago when I was having dinner with her in New York City, the celebrated entertainer Pearl Bailey told me in her inimitable way: "I've been rich. And I've been poor. Rich is better!" We laughed... and the conversation went on, but the comment reverberated: "Rich IS better!"
EVERYBODY wants to be rich, of course; that's a given.. However, being rich is not a condition; it's a process that each and every wealthy person must master. If not, this is what happens: "A fool and his money are soon parted." That will never do.
"The rich are different than you and me."
The writer F. Scott Fitzgerald, who wanted so very desperately to be rich, knew whereof he spoke. It's not just that they have money.. it's that they know how to use it for maximum comfort and convenience. You probably don't.
The average un-rich person thinks that being rich is like a fairy tale; once you're rich you simply live happily ever after. Nothing could be further from the truth. The business of being rich takes constant work, dedication, knowledge, and professional assistance. Being rich is a job, and like all jobs there are those who can do it successfully and there are those who cannot.
Rich people have help. You don't.
The "silver fork" novels of the early 19th century deal endlessly with "the servant problem." It's easy to see why. When you have the means, you want the help; but this help needs constant management.
Do you know how to select, manage and maintain
* house cleaners * chauffeur * cook * people to run your errands * and those to take care of clothes and personal effects?
Rich people have the luxury of being waited on. However, such assistance comes at a price. People who serve you have substantial access... and they can use this access for good or will. There is an old saying: "No man is a hero to his valet." As a wealthy person, you will want an enhanced level of service... but will you be ready for the diminished privacy this brings?
You must have financial representatives and ensure they produce for you
Money cannot simply be earned and left to itself; its increase must be your constant objective and goal. That's why each and every rich person on earth has one or (more likely) more financial representatives. It is only in fairy tales where "the king is in the counting house...." In real life, that's where his "people" hang out... preparing reports showing escalating wealth or grounds for concern.
Rich people understand that money, properly handled, begets more money. Thus, selecting and working with smart people who can take your fortune and increase is key.
Who have you got advising you these days and are they proving by tangible results that they are worthy of assisting you grasp and maintain the lifestyle you truly want?
These representatives must deal with
* your current income requirements
* tax issues
* estate issues.
Because of their pivotal importance in your life, you must be prepared not just to select them, but oversee and manage them too. This is one of the crucial aspects of your new life as a rich person. It's not all champagne and yachts, you see, and only the uninitiated are so naive to think so.
Prepare for the exigent, the wheedling and those who feel you should support them because YOU are rich!
People without means have the enduring belief that the rich are here for their benefit, with the result that rich people find themselves the focus of constant, annoying wheedling by the down-at-heel.
Count on it: your riches will draw forth a legion of beggars, distant family, long-ago friends... and never-ending solicitations from endless "worthy" causes and organizations. Be prepared to learn how to hear with attention but refuse without regret.
Last Words
Being rich will change you in ways subtle and substantial.
* You will not have to dream. Instead, you can plan.
* You will have at your disposal the most important thing in life: choice
* You will know deference, an enchanting thing the poorer never receive.
What's more, as compound interest, time, and financial growth work for you, you will surely know the best is yet to be!

I think it's because 'rich' is a mindet not really synonymous with how much money you have. There are people who are dirt poor who realize and recognize that they are rich and there are very affluent people who are truly poor.
I think this is another case of people using a word that is not necessarily the correct one until the meaning is obscured. rich, wealth have all come to describe how much 'money' you have when the amount of money you have is actually affluence.

Allan, you wrote on a rich subject, pun intended. Awesome ! I certainly won't remove it from my watchlist.
I look forward to take a hot chocolate in Paula's cafe, a dip in Laura's pool, to have Cathy's chauffeur pick me up at the airport.
These are not jokes. A man said a little more than 40 years ago : "I have a dream..." Well, may his dream and my dreams see the light of day. :)

It's a touchy subject isn't it?
With money comes the ability to give it away, to do a lot of good in the world. We'd probably all like to end workd hunger and poverty (not that giving money will do this, that will be done through education, but then again, schools and teachers are not free).
And yes, having a gardner, maid, cook etc is nice and wouldn't we all, deep down, love to have that?
With that we could spend even more time doing good, and earn even more money to give out to great pr

I would only want to be rich so I could help others that are suffering. And so my husband wouldn't have to work anymore. Of Course I want my big house with the pool and enough money to do what I want, But, I would most likely give it all away and be right back to where I am now. Comfortable (and happy).

No, but wealthy enough to hire a cleaning lady and a cook (or go out for dinner every day) and a few vacations every year. And open a music cafe in Turkey. A realistic goal. I can have that all in Turkey if a earn by then an average salary. But won't quit working since I love to do my work. I am already rich in terms of health and family.

I'm already 'rich'what I want to be is affluent. I have an abundance of wealth with friends and family. Now I just need the affluence to go along with it.

That is just it. We all have different ways to think about richness.
Personally, the bottomline in this article is this:

Indeed. And remember that getting there once is not enough. You've got to stay there and do the things necassry to stay there, in your rich. Doesn't matter what kind or richness you are talking about :-)

Being rich does indeed mean different things to different
people.
I think being rich is something everyone should strive for.
Doing and being the best that they can be in whatever they
chose to do.
Being rich can mean an abundance of other things beside money.
Strive to be rich in many things especially your health!

@Catherine, Exactly. It's all about having the means to do whatever you choose. a valet, what a grat idea. Personally I'd love to have one, because he/she could do the things I'm not really into doing. He/She would haev a great job, and I'd be able to spend my time doing what I love.
Sheila, you're exactly right. Precisely what it's all about.
Sheila Fleenor6

It takes work to get there and takes work to keep it trouble is many people aren't willing to do the initial work to get there. That's a sad statement, but too true.
Catherine White8

Since we are speaking in monetary terms of "rich", my answer is yes. Mainly because of the choices it would allow me to make in my life. I will take the struggles of management. I don't need a valet or a chauffeur but wouldn't it be nice to have the means to hire one if I did?

Me ? No. Enough to travel some, have a Toyota Prius ( I have a Corolla ), sell my apartment building to have my own house, with no more than 5 or 6 bedrooms, nothing too fancy.
I want my BUSINESS to make millions dollars to finance projects deep in heart.
