Why the 80s are the best Era Ever
The best cartoons and tv shows were made in the 80s. Maybe they were a bit cheesy but they were perfect for kids and their education.
Every cartoon ended with a lesson for the children, like watch out before crossing the street, don't talk to strangers and never tell a lie.
I can understand why some cartoons have been remade into a movie, but that's not always a guarantee for a movie to be hit machine.
It started in the 80s with Dolph Lundgren in the remake of He-Man Masters of the Universe and more recent Inspector Gadget
These are perfect examples of how a remake fails and proves that just because a show was very popular in the 80s, it's no guarantee that people will swallow every movie that comes out.
It has to do with a sentimental and nostalgic feeling that you can't reproduce or fabricate.
On the other hand, Looking at the movie about Transformers Generation 1, everyone knows that it was a smashing hit.
Maybe the special effects are the reason the movie became a hit or is it the time we live in.
Techniques are more advanced then in the 80s, and people changed as well.
It seems that special effects come first, the story second.
Either way, in my opinion, nothing compares to the classic 80s cartoons.
Look at all the websites and blogs that have content about the great 80s, competition is hard and almost every website about the 80s is a success.
The music in the hit parades, a lot are samples from an 80s hit.
The conclusion is that this era will never come back but will live on in all of the hearts and minds of us 80s children.
Its retro, its classic, and its timeless.

I agree that the times have changed and the contents have affected the generation. I find that with change you have to seek out the best there is. In every generation there is good and bad, the challenge is in keeping up with the times and to know how to protect the children.

LOL you kids really missed the good ol days of the late 60s and early 70s, life was easy and laid back then but then I too remember the 80s raising my children when there weren't nearly the distractions and kids spent more time outside than in.
BTW Bugs Bunny will always be my favorite cartoon character along with his group of friends

Yeah, I think the 80's was my favorite decade. I was much younger then of course and really starting to get settled into my career in computers. I loved the music and TV shows of the 80's. I didn't have as many things to worry about back then either.

I too graduated in 82! Great era, but I think I might have missed a lot, by 85 I had 3 kids, no time to keep up on events. but it was a much simpler time...there seemed to be less anger then.

Okay I'm A child of the 70's and 80's I graduated in 82. Yes the 80's were great but like any era it had it's drawbacks the main one being the rise of the 'Me' Generation.

I believe you unscored it when you said, "...and people changed as well". We have been stripped of our innocense with all of the harsh events we have and are weathering. Do unto others, seems to have been replaced by...do others before they...
It's funny you chose the '80's and then I got to thinking about that era, I remembered the entire family, my husband and I included, used to sit with the children and watch Saturday morning cartoons.

The eighties are my favorite, but that was my era and my husband teases me about, he's 10 years older than I. This was a great trip down memory lane!

Perhaps because we were young, this time it seems even more beautiful.
