Are you a Giver or a Taker?

In doing so, are you a Giver or a Taker?
Is it all about you? Or do you give something back to people?
I would like to think that there is a certain amount of give and take in any relationship and especially ones that I am involved in.
This is even more important in the world of Internet Marketing.
How many times have you signed up to a programmes only to find out your sponsor will not even return one of your emails? They are just takers - they took your money and ran.
Over the course of my time marketing on the Internet I have realised that some opportunities I became in, were a mistake and not worth either the investment of my time or monies. Feeling a moral obligation to my downline I passed on my concerns to them and let them make their own judgement on continuing in said opportunities.
How many people feel that moral obligation to others on the Internet?
This has led me to establish my website to give something back to people especially newcomers to the field of Internet Marketing. Additionally I have become involved in a program that gives something back to the unfortunate people of the world. Whilst they help you earn money they help reduce poverty and donate various things to communities around the world.
This program is Club Asteria - but I am not here to promote that, nor promote my site (especially as it is far from finished lol), more I am here to probe your conscience.
I like to think I might take (as in money and time to input into a program I promote) but also to give (as in give advice, be supportive, mentor nd guide where appropriate).
I hope you can say the same.

Nice post Ed. I believe that once you have someone come into your business you are then responsible for helping them. I can't make others successful but I can help them become successful themselves. Most people just need a little guidance and encouragement :)

Yes--I totally agree pplcheryl. I believe that forces move based on intention. If you give, say, out of obligation to a dogma or responsibility, it IS honored. and YES you receive in return. But I learned through life, it's when I had $5 in the bank and spent $2 of it to buy lunch for a homeless man--all of a sudden a FLOODgate opened. someone woukd call ME to buy product--a $20 rebate check comes in the mail--and it's not JUST monetary--it might come back in another area of need in your life. What goes around, comes around. I you help others sincerely it will come back to you. If you help others and your only thought is "I'm helping where's my reward" you will find the rewards very slim.

All what you give comes back to you 10x. So better give something good, you will be rewarded.

Ed, great blog, I like your attitude, yes, honesty with your downline is best for long term success, the ones who stay are the serious people. Also, like the title, it's a reminder of why we need to build relationships, not just sell, sell, sell
